This
short 5-day tour will take you to see some of Ireland's
most spectacular sights in the South and West of the
country using your car
hire in Ireland. See the Waterford Crystal Factory,
Kiss the Blarney Stone, tour the Ring of Kerry, the
Burren, Cliffs of Moher & enjoy a medieval banquet
in Bunratty Castle.
Day
1 - Dublin and Waterford
Collect your rental car in Dublin or have it delivered
to your hotel. Then travel south to Waterford for lunch
and to see the Crystal Factory. It is truly amazing to
see the skilled craftsmen transform molten glass into
elegant hand-cut crystal.
Day
2 - Blarney Castle & Killarney
Travel west through prime farming country. Outside Cork
visit Blarney Castle to kiss the famous stone to gain
the "gift of eloquence." Continue towards
Killarney for the night.
Day
3 - Ring of Kerry Tour
Take time to visit the tranquil Killarney National Park
and visit the delightful 19th century Muckross House.
Then drive around the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland's
popular scenic routes. Every bend in the road brings you
new vistas of mountains and Atlantic shorelines. Enjoy
the views along the route. Head back to Killarney.
Day
4 - Cliffs of Moher & Banquet
Cross the River Shannon by ferry and drive along the
Clare coast to see the rugged Cliffs of Moher, formed by
the pounding Atlantic breakers. Drive thru the Burren to
the Ailwee Caves (beautiful stalactites &
stalagmites). Head down towards Bunratty where you have
to visit the folk village, Ireland's most famous pub-Durty
Nelly's before moving on to enjoy the famous medieval
banquet at Bunratty Castle (Don't misbehave or you will
get thrown in the dungeon!).
Day
5 - Shannon Airport
Drive back to Dublin
Airport or Shannon
Airport to drop off your Irish car hire before your
departure.
