Day 1 - Cliffs of Moher & Killarney
Land
at Shannon
Airport and collect your Irish car hire. View the
dramatic Cliffs of Moher, which rise to almost 700 feet
above the wild Atlantic breakers. Cross the River
Shannon Estuary by ferry and travel via Listowel to
Killarney.
Day
2 - Ring of Kerry Tour
Today
admire breathtaking views of mountains, cliffs and
beaches on Ireland's most popular drive through
Cahirciveen, Waterville and Sneem. The Ring of Kerry is
100 miles of spectacular scenery.
Day
3 - Blarney & Cobh Heritage Centre
Travel
to Blarney Castle to kiss the "stone of
eloquence" and on to the port town of Cobh to visit
the Cobh Heritage Centre, which follows the patterns of
emigration. Continue along the south coast to Waterford.
Day
4 - Waterford
Tour
the Waterford Crystal Factory to watch the
transformation of molten glass into elegant hand-cut
crystal. Take a walking tour of Kilkenny to see medieval
Kyteler's Inn and Rothe House. Drive to Dublin.
Day
5 - Dublin City Sightseeing
Visit
Dublin Castle, which is steeped in Ireland's history.
Finish your tour at Old Jameson Distillery, or just
explore the city on your own.
Day
6 - Clonmacnoise & Galway
Drive
west to visit Clonmacnoise, a 6th century monastery
founded by St. Ciaran on the banks of the River Shannon.
Arrive in Galway.
Day
7 - Connemara Touring
Travel
through the Connemara region renowned for its open
landscape with free roaming sheep and tracts of bogland.
Take a brief walking tour around Cong where "The
Quiet Man" was filmed in 1952. See crystal cutting
at the Connemara Celtic Crystal Factory before returning
to Shannon for departure.
