staying in Cork City on your first night you then drive
to Waterford. On the way you get to kiss The Blarney
Stone. Before arriving in Dublin you can stay in the
very popular heritage town of Kilkenny. Then after a
night in Dublin you will enjoy the scenery of Connemara
before you return to Cork.
Day
1 - Arrive in Dublin
Collect
your Ireland
car rental from the pre booked desk in the arrivals
hall and spend the first night in Cork City.
Day
2 - Blarney Castle & Waterford
Drive
to Blarney Castle to kiss the famous "stone of
eloquence." Next visit the Cobh Heritage Centre,
which traces the history of emigration from Ireland to
the United States. Continue to Waterford.
Day
3 - Kilkenny Castle
Drive
to Kilkenny for a guided tour around Kilkenny Castle.
Continue on to Dublin.
Day
4 - Dublin Sightseeing
Tour
Dublin to see the public buildings and Georgian
townhouses. Visit the magnificently furnished State
Apartments at Dublin Castle. Then visit the Old Jameson
Distillery to learn about whiskey.
Day
5 - Depart for Home or Galway
Visit
Clonmacnoise, a monastery founded by St. Ciaran in 545
AD. Drive to Galway and tour scenic Connemara.
Day
6 - Return to Cork
Travel
through the Connemara region renowned for its open
landscape with free roaming sheep and tracts of bogland.
Take a brief walking tour around Cong where "The
Quiet Man" was filmed in 1952. See crystal cutting
at the Connemara Celtic Crystal Factory before returning
to Cork to drop your Cork
car rental off at the drop off office.
